Gleeson’s East Yorkshire region move to larger premises to support growth aspirations
Gleeson Homes’ East Yorkshire office has moved to new larger premises in Hessle, Hull.
The Gleeson East Yorkshire regional office has recently moved to Iridium Court in Hessle from Scunthorpe. The requirement for an office move comes after a period of substantial growth for Gleeson’s East Yorkshire region, with an increase in both head count and the number of homes built.
Opting for an office which is 5,652 square foot, the East Yorkshire region is one of Gleeson’s largest, with sixteen developments currently live, and more coming soon, plus a healthy pipeline of new land. The region covers East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and has seen an average output of 300 homes per year, and in time, is expected to support the delivery of around 500 homes per year.
Across the business, Gleeson is committed to supporting the communities in which it builds, by employing individuals who live within the local area. In East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire there are on average around 35 sub-contractor personnel currently working on live developments, many of whom live locally.
Gleeson specialises in building affordable, quality homes for young first-time buyers, with prices starting from just £135,995 for a two bedroom home in Hull. Gleeson delivers a unique social benefit by helping people escape from housing poverty caused by the "rent trap" and into homeownership and wealth creation.
Gleeson Homes' Regional Managing Director for East Yorkshire, Wayne Sutton said: "We are delighted to be moving into a new, larger premises as this shows our commitment to growing our business here over the coming years. We are very proud to be part of Hull and East Yorkshire's thriving economy and look forward to continuing our work providing affordable, quality homes where they are needed, for the people who need them most."
