Gleeson Homes’ Charity Gala raises over £49,000 for The Lighthouse Charity
Gleeson Homes, the affordable high-quality housebuilder, is pleased to announce that its annual Charity Gala has raised £49,187 in aid of its chosen charity of the year, The Lighthouse Charity.
In 2024, Gleeson proudly became an official company supporter of the Lighthouse Charity and has been fundraising for the charity throughout the year, including charity bake sales and regional charity golf events taking place over the course of the year. With the addition of the recent Charity Gala, Gleeson has now raised over £55,000 for the charity.
The Lighthouse Charity is the only charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and families, making this an important collaboration for Gleeson to support.
The black-tie event, hosted at the Queens Hotel in Leeds City Centre, was thoroughly enjoyed by over 360 guests, including suppliers, sub-contractors, agents, solicitors, colleagues, and many more key contacts. The event was a tremendous success, with funds raised through generous donations and a silent auction which took place on the evening.
Main sponsors of the event included Niemen Architects, ID Planning and East Coast Construction & Regeneration; all key suppliers to Gleeson.
This event forms a key part of Gleeson’s Community Matters programme, which sees the company support and invest in the areas where it operates, representing the Group’s commitment to local community engagement and development.
“We’re incredibly grateful to Gleeson Homes for hosting such a fantastic event in support of the Lighthouse Charity. The funds raised will ensure that we can continue and develop our portfolio of pro-active and reactive support services for our construction community.”
“The Lighthouse Charity is a cause that is close to our hearts, and an important one for us to support at Gleeson Homes. We were blown away by the generosity of all those involved in helping us to raise such a significant amount for a very worthy cause. The evening was a roaring success, executed seamlessly by our Gala committee, made-up of colleagues from across the business who have set the bar even higher for the return of our charity gala next year.”
