A grand show home opening at Gleeson’s Kingston Fields development in Hull
Gleeson Homes, the leading high-quality affordable housebuilder, has opened three brand-new show homes at its new development, Kingston Fields.
On Friday 15th November, members of the team at Gleeson’s Yorkshire East region met with co-founders Marg and Dennis Oaten, and CEO Gemma Oaten of the SEED Charity, who proudly supported with the opening of the show homes at Gleeson’s latest development in Hull.
Born and bred in Hull, Gemma is known for her roles as Rachel Breckle in Emmerdale, and more recently Isla Haywood in Coronation Street, and is continuing her parents’ legacy in helping thousands of sufferers of eating disorders and carers who need them.
Founded in Hull in September in 2000, SEED is a voluntary organisation whose mission is to create a facility that provides sufferers and carers of eating disorders alike with confidential independent and non-judgemental advice and support, to ensure they are aided by the best possible network of care and support to facilitate recovery.
Gleeson’s East Yorkshire team were thrilled to have Gemma, CEO of SEED Eating Disorder Support Services, attend the event, revealing three new show homes to the public. During the opening weekend, the team also proudly presented a donation of £3,695 to SEED. This donation demonstrates Gleeson’s commitment to positively connecting with the communities in which it builds through its ongoing Community Matters programme.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of Gleeson Homes to SEED Eating Disorder Support Services as they continue to work hard to uplift our community. Their commitment ensures that individuals struggling with eating disorders not only have the resources to survive but also the opportunity to thrive. The funding received will significantly enhance our early intervention and education efforts, making a profound impact on those in need. Together, we are building a brighter future for all.”
“Launching our brand-new show homes at Kingston Fields is a fantastic milestone for the region and we remain committed to making a positive contribution to the areas in which we are building. It was a pleasure to have Gemma, Marg and Dennis Oaten from the SEED charity join the official opening and we hope that our donation will help to make a difference where needed.”
