We spoke to Jordan to learn more about their journey with Gleeson:
"My partner and I are both first-time buyers. We had rented in the past but moved back in with our parents to save up for our first home. We were eager to move out and felt this was the right time for us both. Renting was never a long-term option; we wanted to get on the property ladder and invest in ourselves.
We chose the three-bedroom Kilkenny because we loved that it was detached, and the plot we selected had a spacious front and back garden. The home also offers plenty of storage, especially under the stairs! Our plot had several advantages, including a quiet location within the development and a driveway that fits both our cars.
The location of the development is perfect for us as it is close to family. Blidworth is also an up-and-coming area with everything we need so we were thrilled to find a Gleeson development here and had our hearts set on a particular plot from the start. We found the prices for a detached home in this area of the UK to be quite reasonable. Plus, we have some really friendly neighbours, which is a bonus - It’s a quiet community, and we love that.
From the moment we stepped through the doors, the sales team was incredibly friendly and helpful. As first-time buyers, everything was new to us, but the Gleeson team explained everything thoroughly, making the process clear and easy. We did encounter a few delays due to our solicitors, but we enjoyed the process of buying and personalising our home.
The house really feels like a home now. We welcomed two kittens within a month of moving in, and they have really brought everything together (despite causing a bit of trouble). We are nearly six months in and loving every second of being homeowners.
